Health Inspections: McDonald's, Hunan Gourmet, Blaire House, Lin's Garden
The following inspection reports were submitted in February and March.

Editor's Note: the following statements are from Milford health inspection reports submitted in February and March.
Inspection here indicated four violations. Back room dry goods area needs better care with general upkeep. No soap or paper towel for employee hand sink next to dish machine. One hinge on a single door prep cooler is broken and poses a hazard to employees.
Recent inspection here indicated seven violations. These included the following: clean the surrounding edge of the steel food prep table where it borders a wall surface; clean interior and exterior of small food mixer; paper towel is needed for dispensers; several foods not covered in the walk-in cooler; foods not covered in the walk-in freezer; and bags of rice need to be closed after use. A re-inspection is scheduled. Re-inspected on March 5 and found all violations corrected.

Two violations here. Whip attachment for food mixer is broken (disposed of); clean interior of microwave oven due to stuck-on food debris (microwave removed).

Inspection indicated nine violations, which included the following: Very back room needs to be maintained and anything not related or used by the restaurant be discarded; foods not covered in the walk-in cooler; need additional thermometers; two-burner stove top needs to be cleaned; the Coke cooler and household type refrigerator needs exteriors and interiors cleaned, and some foods were not covered; missing a ceiling panel exposing overhead lights; and need to clean and maintain shelving area where canned goods are stored. A re-inspection is scheduled. All violations corrected March 11.
Two violations here. Clean floor behind the main line cooking area to the wall and plastic container used to store silverware needs to be cleaned.
No violations here. Small amount of pre-packed snacks, candy, chips, etc. No milk or dairy.
Three violations, which included the need to cover one container of food; microwave is in need of eventual replacement; and aprons cannot be stored on the food slicer.
Three violations here. Cover biscuits in the freezer safely so protective cover does not come off; clean area where mop buckets are stored.
Violations here included the following: need paper towel for one employee hand sink; a food product not securely covered in first walk-in cooler; need to clean exterior of two-door glass cooler; and clean stainless steel wall from the employee hand sink to the very back of the kitchen.
Four violations here, which included the following: some pans were in need of further cleaning and in some cases disposal due to excessive wear; clear plastic containers used to store silverwear need to be kept clean (debris at the bottom of these containers); also need to clean and sanitize the manual can opener.
Three violations here. Need a visible thermometer in the two-door Victory cooler; paper towel dispenser not working for employee hand-sink; and steel utility draw under the work table needs to be cleaned due to debris, and utensils organized. All violations corrected at the conclusion of inspection.

Violations here included the following: do not store cutting board against cardboard; keep hand sink clean, disinfected and free of items so that it is available for use by the employees; maintain dry goods area in an orderly fashion, keeping food items, utensils and equipment safely separate from other items.
Six violations here, which included the following: no paper towel for employee hand sink; clean the four-burner stovetop and single-burner stove top; need additional visible thermometers; employee hand sink in the restroom has to have the water for the sink run for a longer period of time before it shuts off; knives are to be clean and sanitized before they are stored in the knife rack. Also, one critical violation which involved boxes of meat product allowed to thaw at room temperature, since this past Saturday (March 23) until the time of inspection today (March 25) at approximately 10:30 a.m. Meat products were at various stages of thaw to still-thawing and completely thawed. All meat products were disposed of on site, and witnessed.
Four violations here, which included the following: Need to clean and organize area behind the deli display case. This includes the floor, work areas, storage area under the work table needs to be cleaned also; food products (potatoes) cannot be stored on the floor in paper bags; need additional visible thermometers where missing; and popcorn machine needs to be maintained and not be a self-service area.
Two violations here. Missing thermometers and need to keep the mixing bowl for the floor mounted mixer clean and free of dough residue after use.
Seven violations here, which included the following: Need to cover uncooked bacon in the two-door cooler; whip attachment for one of the mixers needs to be stored in a safe, sanitary method; do not store anything on the food slicer and make sure it is broken down, cleaned and sanitized before next use; missing a ceiling tile in the kitchen; cardboard box cannot be stored on top of a cutting surface; small single door cooler, stainless steel work table in the kitchen need to be maintained so that all food service utensils and equipment are safely stored away from any other items or materials.
