MILFORD, MA — Milford residents can get answers to questions about state-level issues during an upcoming town hall meeting with state Sen. Becca Rausch, D-Needham.

Rausch will visit Milford Town Hall on Sept. 18 for the meeting as part of a series of similar events across her district, which spans Plainville to Needham.

"Civic engagement is an important part of our democracy," Rausch said in a news release. "Listening to the perspectives of my constituents informs my legislative work on Beacon Hill. I look forward to hearing from residents and collaborating with them to further support our families and our communities."

Rausch's district was redrawn following the 2020 Census to include more communities south toward the Rhode Island line. Rausch won reelection in November facing a challenge from Republican former state representative Shawn Dooley of Norfolk.

Milford was previously represented by Republican state Sen. Ryan Fattman, whose district shifted slightly west after the 2020 Census, but still includes towns like Hopedale, Blackstone, Mendon and Upton.
