Women in 'Sunshine Spa' Massage Case Arraigned

Ziping Yung, 52, and Lan Pechacek, 51, were represented by private attorneys in their arraignment hearings Thursday.

Two women who are accused of operating an illegal massage parlor in Milford were represented by private attorneys Thursday in their arraignment hearings Thursday, and released with an order to turn in their passports.

Both women are charged with sexual conduct for a fee, keeping a house of prostitution/ill fame, and massaging without a license. The charges are all misdemeanor offenses.

Yung was represented by Worcester attorney Jennifer Wang for arraignment, while Pechacek was represented by Worcester attorney Steven Rubin.

Both were ordered by District Judge Robert Calagione to turn in their passports, but Pecachek will be allowed to leave the country for her son's wedding, and is to surrender her passport on returning to the U.S. June 17, according to court documents.

They are next scheduled to appear in Milford District Court on June 21 for a pretrial conference.
