While hunting season is in full swing, the Needham Police Department would like to remind all walkers and hikers of the following safety tips: <ol> <li>When hiking in the woods, wear orange colored clothing. An orange hat and vest are important safety features for any hiker. </li> <li>Avoid walking at dusk, which is a difficult time of day for visibility.</li> <li>Choose well marked and worn trails. It is better to stick to established trails and limit any off-trail or dense woods hiking. </li> <li>Always carry a cell phone.</li> </ol>
