
The Board of Selectmen is seeking volunteers to serve as members of Needham’s recently formed Solar Exploratory Committee.
The charge of the Solar Exploratory Committee is to evaluate and report to the Selectmen options for installing solar energy technology at Needham’s former town landfill on Central Avenue, as well as consideration of the potential of other Town-owned sites.
The Exploratory Committee will consist of seven members, plus the Town’s Superintendent of Solid Waste and Recycling, who will serve as a non-voting member.

Applicants must be registered voters of the town. Experience with alternative energy and energy facility installation, or related experience, are preferred qualifications.
Interested individuals are asked to submit an application consisting of a brief letter of interest, including a summary of relevant experience and contact information. Applications may be submitted in writing or by email or may be completed online at www.needhamma.gov/committeeform.
