
Needham will hold a Household Hazardous Waste Day on Saturday, Oct. 20 from 8 a.m. to noon, at the DPW Parking Lot, 470 Dedham Ave. Please enter at Defazio Field.
No sign-up required. This event is open to Needham residents only. No commercial operations or contractors are allowed. A driver’s license or RTS sticker is satisfactory proof of residency.

- Airplane glue
- Anti-freeze
- Artist supplies
- Asbestos (must damped also double wrap in heavy duty contractors bag)
- Bleach cleaner
- Brake & transmission fluid
- Car & home wax
- Car batteries
- Chemistry kits
- De-greasers
- Disinfectant
- Driveway sealer
- Fertilizer
- Flea control products
- Floor & metal polish
- Fuel / gasoline / kerosene
- Furniture polish
- Gas or small propane cylinders (less than 20 lbs.)
- Herbicides
- Lighter fluid
- Mothballs
- Oven cleaner
- Partial & full aerosol cans
- Pesticides
- Photography chemicals
- Rodent killers
- Roofing tar
- Rubber cement
- Rug & upholstery cleaner
- Spot remover
- Swimming pool chemicals
Paint, thinners or stains will not be accepted at the DPW during the Household Hazardous Waste collection; however, these items can be disposed of at the RTS on Saturday, Oct. 20 bewteen 8 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. A disposal sticker is required to enter the RTS Facility.
