The Needham School Committee has approved project plans that could bring about an array of needed changes to the Hillside Elementary School.Needham school officials say the Hillside Elementary School project is needed due to the lack of space for students and teaching.The design plans, which still need to gain approval from the Massachusetts School Building Authority, include additions and renovations to the school, a new building at the location, and other site expansions.The Massachusetts School Building Authority is set to vote on the plan on September 3. The school has not undergone any improvements in over 40 years.
