Jake Auchincloss Declares Victory In 4th Congressional District Race
This will be Congressman Jake Auchincloss' second two-year term.

NEWTON, MA — Congressman Jake Auchincloss has been re-elected to represent Massachusetts’ 4th Congressional District, his campaign announced Tuesday night.
Auchincloss was technically uncontested, but had some competition from a write-in campaign by Republican candidate David Cannata.
This will be Auchincloss’ second two-year term representing Newton, Brookline, and the other cities and towns in U.S. House Massachusetts District 4.

Auchincloss released this statement following his victory:
My first term began in the grip of pandemic and the crush of insurrection. The challenges Congress faced were historic. So was our response.
I have used my voice and vote in Washington to help meet this moment, from my day-one priority of getting kids back to school to defending democracy and women’s rights at home and abroad.
In the face of these challenges, this Congress passed legislation of generational significance: funding for infrastructure, science, and domestic manufacturing; support for Ukraine on the front lines of the free world; and the biggest investment in climate action and clean energy in history.
This work must continue. And it must be matched by across-the-board efforts to reverse inflation and lower costs for working families. This requires expanding the productive capacity of the economy and prudent fiscal and monetary policy.
If Democrats maintain the majority we must strengthen our democracy; codify a woman’s right to choose; and pass common-sense gun-safety measures. If we find ourselves in the minority we must do everything in our lawful power to protect women’s rights, Medicare & Social Security, and our democracy itself.
As we await election results, I remind candidates across the country that sowing doubt about free and fair elections is a direct threat to the country we love. Disinformation is rife; deranged and dangerous individuals are listening; and the world is watching.
To my constituents in the Massachusetts Fourth: thank you. I am honored to once again represent the District in which I grew up and I promise to deliver results with the same urgency I brought as a freshman.
