Police Log: Unruly Man at MBTA Stop

A Dorchester man caused some trouble at the Woodland T stop Thursday.

A Dorchester man was arrested Thursday after police received a call he was being "overly aggressive" toward a woman at the Woodland MBTA station.

Joseph Schaefer, 51, of , appeared to be intoxicated when police arrived at the station on Washington Street, reports said. Police also found Schaefer had an outstanding warrant from a Boston District Court. 

After being arrested on the warrant, Schaefer was also charged with assault and battery for the purposes of intimidation, police said.

A Newton man was arrested at his home Thursday, police said.

Christopher Loring Danforth, 56, of 69 Lincoln St., was arrested on a warrant out of Newburyport District Court  for violating an abuse prevention order, police said.

 

Weston man arrested after argument in liquor store

A Weston man was arrested Thursday at  after an altercation with a store clerk, police said.

George B. Ryan, 21, of 76 Robin Road, was charged with assault and battery and assault with a dangerous weapon, police said.

Reports said the argument started when the employee asked Ryan for a second form of identification. Police said when they arrived on scene Ryan smelled slightly of alcohol.
