Car Hits Deer, Pole

The following is an excerpt from the Peabody Police log:

  • At 3:35 p.m. Thursday, a man was summonsed for driving without a license on Lynn Street.
  • At 3:39 p.m. Thursday, a resident of Perkins Way reported a truck had taken tree branches down.
  • At 3:55 p.m. Thursday, police arrested Nicole A. Provost, 26, 38 Main Street, North Reading, on charges of uttering a false prescription and on a warrant from another town. The arrest was made at on Main Street.
  • At 5:06 p.m. Thursday, police received a report of bullying. The parents agreed to keep their children away from each other.
  • At 5:30 p.m. Thursday, police received a report of a suspicious man driving on Whitney Drive. When police confronted the man they found out he was a private investigator who failed to check in with the police department.
  • At 8:50 p.m. Thursday, police and emergency management responded to Newbury Street for a juvenile coughing up blood. The child was transported to Salem Hospital.
  • At 9:49 p.m. Thursday, police responded to Newbury Street after a car hit a deer then struck a pole. MassHighway was called to remove the deer. The car was towed from the scene. 
  • At 11:34 p.m. Thursday, police arrested Michael Hallberg, 45, 36 O'Connell Street, Lowell, on charges of driving after license suspension, three counts of domestic assault and battery and threatening to commit a crime. 
  • At 10:16 a.m. Friday, a resident of Blaney Avenue called to report a skunk in her yard.
  • At 11:10 a.m. Friday, William M. Lafontant, 42, 10 Hathorne Street, Salem, was arrested on a warrant. 
  • At 12:07 p.m. Friday, police responded to Prospect Street where it was reported a person was taking metal from a dumpster.
