Here at Peabody Patch, social media is a big deal. It's how we interact with you, answer your questions and get to see what's on your mind. Social Media Saturday is a weekly feature where we highlight your questions and thoughts you've shared on Facebook and other media throughout the past week. We'll also point you to some new and interesting pages you may not have known about before.
Overheard
Here is a sampling of comments and happenings on our Facebook page and the social media world from the past week:
- The week started with the announcement of a shed fire at a Tracey Street home. The fire was put out but not much is left of the shed. People "liked" our status when we announced the fire was extinguished.
- Michele Allen asked a question on our Facebook page but hasn't received an answer yet. Can anyone help her? She said, "This is gonna sound odd...but I hear this loud noise at night and in the morning...sometimes during the day..it almost sounds like an explosion, does anyone else in Peabody hear this? Please if anyone has info...please let me know...it scares me when I'm sitting by the window."
- When we asked where people would watch the Bruins game Wednesday night, two people said they were staying in the comfort of their own homes to watch.
Poll Results
On Tuesday we asked, "Do you support the city becoming a "green community" and entering the State Renewable Energy Trust Fund? Citizens would be responsible for the projected cost of $4.50
