Local Dispensary Launches Support Effort Dating and Domestic Violence Victims
The Ermont Cares Initiative features medical marijuana given to to local organizations.

From Ermont Inc.: Ermont, Inc., a non-profit medical marijuana dispensary specializing in edibles, today announced the launch of Ermont Cares, a bimonthly charitable initiative designed to give back to local organizations through the sale of a marijuana infused product. The first Ermont Cares recipient is DOVE, a Quincy-based multi-service organization providing comprehensive direct services and support for victims of dating and domestic violence, as well as their children.
“We are proud to launch our Ermont Cares initiative with DOVE,” said Scottie Gordon, Chief Operating Officer of Ermont, Inc. and a member of the Board of Directors of DOVE. “Being able to provide our patients with the medicine they need, while at the same time giving back to an organization that is so vital to our host city and surrounding communities, further helps us fulfill our mission to provide advocacy and relief for our community.”
Over the next two months, Ermont will donate 80 percent of the proceeds from the sale of specially created marijuana infused chocolate to support DOVE’s services to victims of domestic and dating violence. The Ermont Cares campaign will continue on a bimonthly basis. Nonprofit organizations interested in becoming an Ermont Cares beneficiary may contact Ermont for more information about the initiative.

Ermont’s high-quality edibles, created by a dedicated culinary staff in a professional-grade kitchen, allow patients to get the medicine they need in a more discreet and pleasurable way than smoking marijuana. The rotating menu includes chocolate bars, hot chocolate, lozenges, individual pies, lemonade, cookies, olive oil, hot sauce, mac and cheese, and muffins infused with either THC or CBD in order to best serve patients.
Ermont, the first registered marijuana dispensary on the South Shore of Massachusetts, opened in October 2016. The dispensary is open seven days a week serving patients throughout Massachusetts with a valid patient ID or caregiver card issued by the state Department of Public Health.
