Man Who Tried To Lure Women From Their Cars Found: Police
State Rep. Alyson Sullivan says the man tried to coax her out of her car claiming she had an oil leak outside of the Stoughton Target.
QUINCY, MA — Quincy police say they have found the man who attempted to lure a Massachusetts State Representative from her car in the Stoughton Target parking lot.
On Sunday night, the Stoughton Police Department issued a statement to residents warning them of a disturbing incident that took place outside of Target.
Alyson Sullivan, who represents the 7th Plymouth District in the Massachusetts House of Representatives, said the man tried to coax her out of her car claiming there was an oil leak. She said when she checked her car, there was no oil leak.

Feeling uncomfortable with the situation, Sullivan called police to alert them making note of his description - a white man in his 50's or 60's and driving a white Jeep Patriot.
An investigation by police found that similar calls in surrounding towns involving a white Jeep Patriot were also made recently.

On Monday, Easton police said they received a report from a woman who had a similar encounter, taking a video of the man's car, a white Jeep Patriot.
On Tuesday morning, Quincy police said they received a call at about 9 a.m. from a woman who stated that a man approached her and claimed that her car was leaking oil. That woman also provided a description of the man's vehicle, a white Jeep Patriot.
Police found the car in question in Quincy and then interviewed the man, who was transported to an area hospital for evaluation.
Quincy police say no arrests have been made at this time.
