• Greater Boston PCA Donates $35K to Boston-area Charities (high-profile.com) — A Quincy homeless shelter run by Father Bill’s is among seven Greater Boston nonprofits receiving $5,000 each from the Greater Boston Plumbing Contractors Association, part of a $35,000 holiday donation. The funding supports services for people facing homelessness, hunger, and poverty across the region, including those relying on shelter and support in Quincy. 
• Quincy Man Charged In Beverly Rest Stop Shooting Monday Night (patch.com) — A man from Quincy has been charged with attempted murder and multiple gun offenses after an alleged shooting that began at a Beverly rest stop on Route 128. Prosecutors say the confrontation moved onto the highway, where shots were fired at another vehicle; the suspect pleaded not guilty and is being held pending a dangerousness hearing.
