Police Hoping 'Longshot' Photos Can ID Car Break-In Suspect

Investigators don't know if this person is connected to the most recent break-ins, but he is wanted for 15 that took place in June.

QUINCY, MA — Police have no idea if the person in the photos is connected to a series of car break-ins that took place last weekend, but they're giving it a shot.

The pictured man is wanted in connection to 15 car break-ins on Holmes and Hancock streets in North Quincy that were reported in June. Detectives have been unable to identify or locate the man, but they are republishing his photo following a weekend which resulted in the following break-ins:

  • Six cars in the Hancock Street/Adams Inn area.
  • Eleven cars near the Mellen Bray House on 10 Weston Ave.
  • Seven cars near Quincy Commons around Canton and French streets.
  • Six cars near Hamilton Bay at 185 Quincy Shore Dr.
  • Five cars near Louisburg Square at 152 Quincy Shore Dr.

All 35 cars had their windows smashed, police said.

"Now, at this point, we have no idea if this guy is connected to the most recent breaks. Actually, its kind of a long shot.... but it's worth a try," Quincy Police wrote on Facebook.
