Quincy Resident Takes on Boston Marathon to Empower Girls on the Run

Hannah (Miller) Boutiette Laces Up for a Cause, Supporting Youth Confidence and Leadership

TYRINGHAM/QUINCY, Mass. – On April 21, Hannah (Miller) Boutiette, a Quincy resident and Berkshires native, will run the Boston Marathon. She will lace up to raise money and awareness for Girls on the Run Greater Boston, which leverages the power of running to inspire girls in grades 3 through 8 to be joyful, healthy, and confident.

"I never imagined running a marathon was something I could do, but after seeing the strength and courage of the Girls on the Run participants, I knew I had to take on this challenge,” says Boutiette. “I want to show myself and others that anything is possible when you believe in yourself.”

Boutiette is an Account Director at Teak Media + Communication, a certified B Corp public relations firm that specializes in working with nonprofits and socially responsible companies, and has been an active volunteer with Girls on the Run since Spring 2024. She currently coaches a team in Braintree, Mass., and serves on the Associate Board of Girls on the Run Greater Boston. A passionate advocate for empowering young girls, Boutiette has seen firsthand how the program instills confidence, strength, and leadership in its participants.
