Quincy's Trash, Recycling Pickup Delayed For Veterans' Day
The curbside trash and recycling pickup will be delayed by one day in Quincy, in recognition of Veterans' Day.
QUINCY, MA — In recognition of Veterans' Day, there will be no curbside collection of trash or recycling in Quincy on Monday. The public works rear yard will also be closed. Trash and recycling collection will be delayed by one day for the rest of the week, according to city officials.
Public works' rear yard is open year-round, Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., weather permitting. The yard is also open on Saturdays through Dec. 7 to accept yard waste, recyclables, electronics, appliances, scrap metal, books, DVDs, CDs and mercury-containing items such as thermometers, thermostats rechargeable batteries and fluorescent light bulbs. No trash is accepted in the rear yard. To use the rear yard, bring your driver's license to prove your Quincy residency.
