QUINCY, MA — Red Line trains began serving the Wollaston station just before noon Monday following the discovery of two bodies near the station early in the morning.

Near 11:30 a.m., the MBTA said that shuttle buses that were serving the four stations between Braintree and JFK/UMass in Dorchester were being phased out with trains starting to serve Quincy again.

Police halted train service around the Wollaston station after finding a man and a woman dead near 6 a.m. along the tracks. MBTA Transit Police Superintendent Richard Sullivan said the pair likely died after intentionally coming into contact with the electrified third rail and were not hit by a train.
