Roof Collapse Impacts Hancock Street Traffic
The whole building could come down, officials say.
QUINCY, MA — A roof collapse has caused for a detour away from Hancock Street Monday morning
While northbound traffic is getting by on the street, southbound traffic is being sent towards Beale Street, according to the Quincy Police Department. Drivers have been asked to seek alternate routes.
Officials say the rest of the building is unstable and could collapse.

Fire department says they got called to roof/facade collapse at about 7:30 this morning. About a 40 foot section. Luckily no one walking by at the time. No injuries. Facade is compromised. Awaiting plan of action to remove facade. @7News pic.twitter.com/3HU9BoC09A

The Red Line shuttle from Wollaston to Quincy Center and a bus route were delayed Monday morning due to the collapse.
No injuries have been reported.
