Women's Self Defense Classes Coming To Quincy
Quincy police are hosting a free self-defense program for women this month.
QUINCY, MA — Women who would like to learn how to defend themselves are invited to participate in a free self-defense program this month. Quincy police are hosting two free classes open only to women. The classes will take place Tuesday, Oct. 22 and Thursday, Oct. 24.
Participants are required to attend both classes, because this is a progressive learning program, according to police. During the first class, participants will learn strikes, blocks and blows. During the second class, they will be able to test their skills against an "attacker," police say.
There will be no exam, and no one will be required to do anything they are uncomfortable with.
