1. Volunteers are needed for multiple locations for Roslindale Open Studios this weekend. Email Janice Williams at janice@artfulgift.com if you might be available.
2. On Saturday and Sunday is Roslindale Open Studios. More than 100 artists displaingy and selling their work in more than 40 locations in Roslindale Village. 11 a.m. - 5 p.m. Learn more here.
3. The Boston City Council approved a third redistricting map (the first two were vetoed by Mayor Menino) yesterday in a 11-2 vote in support of the map. Now Menino needs to approve or veto the map.
4. Today at 10:30 a.m. is Toddler Story Time at the Roslindale Branch Library for children 5 and younger. Free. 
5. On Satruday is Roslindale Congregational Church's Harvest Fair 
   10 a.m. - 5 p.m. Roslindale Congregational Church, 25 Cummins Highway. This year is especially exciting as the event will take place on the same day as Roslindale Open Studios, and the handcrafted items beautifully represent Roslindale's local talent. Lunch, snacks, and raffle items from local businesses.
