"I think almost anywhere is probably great. Our (Tyndale) street is blocked from cars from 6 to 8 p.m., making it a great street to visit for safe trick-or-treating," said Rubin.

A blocked off street strictly so kids can go trick-or-treating?! Rubin shared more: "Neighborhood lore has it that three nuns living together in a house down the street, all of whom worked in the Boston Public Schools, arranged for some of their students to come to the neighborhood by bus for Halloween. I believe this tradition continues based on the number of costumed kids who show up each year. It is almost impossible to get enough candy for all of them, there are so many!"

Rubin added Bradfield Avenue is great for decorated homes, and the people really get into the spririt of Halloween.

"Last year, there was a guy with spooky makeup and lots of chains who came out of bushes as kids approached his house. Eeeeek. When it is not too cold out, lots of people hang out on their front steps to give out candy, making it very neighborly. Near the end of Bradfield is a house with a coffin display and some sort of spooky smoke machine. The same house also has a haunted house set up."
