Somerville Man Charged With Drug Trafficking In Arlington
Officers searched the 27-year-old and found three bags with pills inside, police said.

ARLINGTON, MA — A Somerville man is facing a drug trafficking charge following a traffic stop in Arlington. John Raymond, 27, was pulled over around 11:50 a.m. Thursday for suspected motor vehicle violations and became very "nervous and fidgety," police said. As the officer checked Raymond's license and registration, he started moving so much his car rocked side to side, according to the police report.
Raymond was asked to step out of the car, and he guarded his right side with his arm "as if he was concealing something," police said. Due to previous weapons charges, the officer believed he had a gun on him, according to the police report.
Officers searched Raymond and found three bags filled with oval pills, police said. He was arrested and charged with trafficking in heroin/morphine/opium and unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.
