Somerville Man Gets Nearly 9 Years In Prison For Meth Conspiracy

SOMERVILLE, MA — A Somerville man was sentenced to nearly nine years in prison for his role in a methamphetamine trafficking conspiracy, according to U.S. Attorney Joshua Levy.
William Velez, 41, was sentenced on Wednesday by U.S. District Court Judge Denise J. Casper to 105 months in prison and three years of supervised release.
In March 2022, Velez pleaded guilty to one count of conspiracy to distribute and to possess with intent to distribute 50 grams or more of methamphetamine.

From around Oct. 2019 through Sept. 2020, Velez and others allegedly conspired to distribute and possessed with intent to distribute methamphetamine throughout the Everett and Boston areas.
