SOMERVILLE, MA — Somerville Police are warning residents of a door-to-door sales scam that has been reported in the city.
Officers recently received a report of a door-to-door magazine subscription scam that occurred in the area of Prichard Avenue and Kidder Avenue, according to police.
Residents are urged to be wary of all unsolicited offers and to research the company or service before providing any form of payment. Police are also advising residents not to share any personal or financial information or let unknown salespersons into their homes.

Door-to-door solicitors are required by city ordinance to register with the Somerville Police Department’s Records Division and should have documentation of such, according to police.
