Lafayette Student Injured in Accident 'Starting to Wake Up'
Aubrey Baumbach of Sudbury was a victim of a hit-and-run accident earlier this month.

An 18-year-old Lafayette College student from Sudbury struck by a vehicle earlier this month is showing signs of recovery.
Aubrey Baumbach suffered serious injuries in a hit-and-run near the Lafayette College Crew Club boathouse as she was leaving with friends following practice on the Lehigh River.
Her mother, Lisa, reported on Facebook she is finally showing signs of recovery.
"Aubrey is fighting and fighting hard! For days we have been wanting to enlighten everyone with good news but it just had not been happening," Lisa Baumbach wrote. "(On Nov. 21), that changed. Thursday morning Aubrey started "waking up". She started to open her eyes, move her arms and, on two occasions, squeeze my hand on command."
According to LehighValleyLive.com, Aubrey Baumbach has undergone numerous surgeries to relieve pressure in her skull.
Her mother has credited the doctors, nurses and staff at St. Luke's University Hospital in Fountain Hill for the constant care her daughter has received.
"Aside from her brain injury, medically, she couldn't be doing better," she wrote. "She is starting to meet the requisites for independence. The goal, of course, is to have her independent and stable as soon as possible so that she can be transferred back to Boston where she can receive the care she needs in that area- and she's doing that!"
Wilson Kneebone, 49, of the 6200 block of Fifth Avenue in Lower Mount Bethel Township, was arrested on allegations he struck Baumbach and then drove off.
He remains in Northampton County Prison.
