Yes, Henry Ford, whose Model T revolutionized the automobile industry and made it mainstream, indeed lived-sort of-in Sudbury for a time when he'd spend long retreats with friends at the Wayside Inn, which he purchased in 1923 along with 3,000 acres around it.
Ford, of course, was more connected with Detroit, Michigan, where he founded the Ford Motor Company and developed the assembly line technique of producing cars.He is largely creditedwith making the automobile affordable to the middle class.
