Sudbury 2024 Election Results: School, Select Board Races Contested

SUDBURY, MA — Unofficial results are in for Sudbury's 2024 town election, which featured contested races for Sudbury School Committee and Select Board.

Turnout in Monday's election reached about 25 percent, with 3,322 voters participating out of 13,420 registered. This was the second year in a row where turnout was at or above 25 percent in a spring town election, topping the 16 to 18 percent range seen in elections dating back to 2019.

Apart from the contested races, there were nine other races on the ballot featuring a mix of incumbents and new candidates joining important boards and committees.

Maura Carty, who is married to Select Board member Dan Carty, will join the Lincoln-Sudbury School Committee with member Mary Warzynski not seeking reelection. The Goodnow Library board will add new members Megan Kelley and Eriko Frank with members Lily Gordon and Natalie Schlegel not seeking new terms.
