Nicole Dunn is being given the Distinguished Alumni Award from Mount Ida College.

SUDBURY, MA—Nicole Dunn refers to herself as a pioneer in health and wellness public relations, becoming a star while helping experts share their brands and voices.
The former Sudbury resident worked in TV for 13 years and earned a team nomination for a Daytime Emmy on a show she produced called “Split Ends.” Dunn teamed up with Tony Horton about ten years ago, helping the creator of P90X grow, and become well known in the fitness world.
“It was on F Street in Washington, DC after a Press Club fundraising workout for Journalism that Dunn Pellier Media was born," said Dunn in a statement. "A woman named Hope came up to Tony on the street. She was on her way to her own birthday party and was carrying a large box. She mentioned that because of Tony she lost lost over 100 lbs. and said we would not believe what was in the box. Hope opened up the box and there was Tony Horton’s face was on her birthday cake. We couldn’t believe it! This was 8 years ago when social media wasn’t like it is today. That was my defining moment. After seeing Tony’s face on that woman’s cake, I knew I wanted to be in health and wellness helping people get seen by the media by being their biggest media megaphone and I haven’t looked back since.”

On Sept. 22, Dunn is being honored with a Distinguished Alumni Award from Mount Ida.
“Mount Ida College was the place where I became interested in television after taking a course from Professor Noah Applebaum," said Dunn. "His wife was the Snuggie Fabric Voice Actor. I became so interested in television after graduating, that I moved to Los Angeles to pursue a career in Hollywood. Now instead of making bad reality tv shows, I am invested in the health and wellness of our country.”
