Sudbury Readies for Fourth of July Parade

Parade begins at 1 p.m. on Union Avenue and Boston Post Road.

This year's Fourth of July parade in Sudbury is once again being sponsored by the Sudbury Chamber of Commerce.

This year's theme is: Sudbury through the eyes of children.

The parade will start at 1 p.m. at Union Avenue at the Boston Post Road intersection. From there, it will head east on Boston Post Road, take a left on Concord Road, and go straight into Town Center.

The parade marshall will be Ed Gottmann

All floats are required to be on Union Ave and in their division no later than noon for judging.

If you have any questions email: parade@sudbury.org.

Sudbury Fire Dept Captain Doug Stone and firefighter Mike Hamill have volunteered their time to hang the American flags that run along the parade route and the Chamber of Commerce business banners, which help fund the parade.

The Sudbury Police Department typically closes the area of the route starting at 12:30 p.m.

Spectators are allowed to stand or sit anywhere along the parade route.
