Sudbury Says Yes To 2 Of 3 Prop 2 1/2 Election Questions

Sudbury voters approved two of the three special election questions.

SUDBURY, MA—Sudbury voters were asked to cast their ballots in a special town election that focuses on three questions related to proposition 2 1/2 exemptions.

The election took place on Tuesday, June 12, with polls open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Here are the questions, and the results:

BALLOT QUESTION NO. 1S hall the Town of Sudbury be allowed to exempt from the provisions of proposition two and one-half, so=called, the amounts required to pay for the bond issued in order to purchase and equip rolling stock, vehicles, and equipment for the Department of Public Works, including all incidental and related expenses?

BALLOT QUESTION NO. 2Shall the Town of Sudbury be allowed to exempt from the provisions of proposition two and one-half, so-called, the amounts required to pay for the bond issued in order to construct, reconstruct, or make extraordinary repairs to replace the underground fuel storage and management systems at the DPWFacility located at 275 Old Lancaster Road, including all incidental and related expenses?

BALLOT QUESTION NO. 3 Shall the Town of Sudbury be allowed to exempt from the provisions of proposition two and one-half, so called, the amounts required to pay for the bond issued in order to repair the Stearns Mill Pond Dam in order to stabilize the dam and correct the safety deficiencies identified by the State, including design, permit and engineering fees therefor, and to fund the design and construction to replace the Dutton Road bridge downstream of the dam and over Hop Brook, including all incidental and related expenses?
