Weekend Happenings: Wine Tasting, Spring Fling, Walk for Humanity

A few things to keep everyone entertaining near home this weekend.

Shower for Shelters Wine Tasting
When/Where:
Friday, April 26 at 7 p.m. at Sudbury Wine & Spirits (410 Boston Post Road, Sudbury)
Why Go: Wine tasting and supporting a good cause? Why not go? This is the kick-off event to the Sudbury-Wayland-Lincoln Domestic Violence Roundtable's annual Shower for Shelters. There will be a raffle and, obviously, free wine.

Walk for Humanity
When/Where:
Saturday, April 27 at 10 a.m. at Nara Park (25 Ledgerock Way, Acton)
Why Go: Acton-Boxborough Regional High Schools's Humanitarian student clubs Asha, Give, Kiva, and Amani for Africa are hosting a walk to raise awareness for various issues such as education, human rights and others. Benefits from the event will go to the ABRHS club of the walker's choice.
Price: $10

Spring Fling on the Town Green
When/Where:
Saturday, April 27 from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. at Weston Town Green (400 Boston Post Road, Weston).
Why Go:
This annual event is all about kids in grades K-4. Food, games, music, and activites. All proceeds benefit City Year Boston.
Price:
Activites $1 each

Unleashed by Petco Grand Opening in Wayland
When/Where: Saturday and Sunday, April 27-28 from 9 a.m.-9 p.m. at Unleashed by Petco (400 Boston Post Road, Wayland).
Why Go: Fun for you and your four-legged friend. The grand opening at this Wayland Town Center store features doggie ice cream, giveaways and lots more.
