5 Things: Learn About Buying a Computer

1. Thinking about spending a great deal of money on a computer but are worried what to buy? Than come to the Watertown Free Public Library from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. as the library is holding a talk on "Buying a Computer." You'll learn the differences between Windows and Macintosh computers, desktops, laptops and tablet and most importantly, what is the best fit for you. Registration is required. You can sign up at the Reference Desk or call 617-972-6436

3. The "Watch Your Weight" group at the Watertown Senior Center meets at 10 a.m. weekly for support and to socialize.  Individuals may weigh in, exercise, and discuss nutrition with long-time volunteer Evelyn Casey.

4. Nursery Rhyme Time is held at the Watertown Free Library at 9:30 a.m. and 11 a.m. This program is an introduction to nursery rhymes, stories, songs, and fingerplays for toddlers. 

5. On this day in 1815, the Battle of Waterloo was fought in Belgum resulting in the defeat of Napoleon Bonaparte by the Duke of Wellington and Gebhard Leberecht von Blücher. The outcome forcing Napoleon to abdicate the throne of France for the second and last time.
