5 Things: Walk for Life Starts at Victory Field at 6 PM

Events occurring in Watertown.

1. The 10th annual American Cancer Society Relay For Life of Watertown/Waltham will begin at 6 p.m. at Victory Field, 40 Orchard St. and last until 6 a.m. Saturday, June 22.  

2. Pre-School Storytime at the Watertown Free Public Library at 10:15 a.m. presents stories, songs, and other activities in a fun environment. For ages 3 to 5. No registration.

3. There's Bingo from 10 a.m. to noon at the Watertown Senior Center, 31 Marshall St. Just some low stakes senior bingo that's a fun way to socialize with friends.

4. Join Dorothy and her friends as they take the journey down the Yellow Brick Road as the Metrowest Family Theater kicks off its 13th season with the family favorite, “The Wizard of Oz” at the Arsenal Center for the Arts, 321 Arsenal St. Tickets are $20 for general admission and $24 for premium seating which guarantees the first five rows center. There are only two performances left: 

• Friday June 21 at 7:30 pm

5. Today is the first day of summer! Summer, also known as the Summer Solstice, occurred at 1:04 a.m. There will be nearly 17 hours of sunlight today and until June 24. While sunset will occur at 8:29 p.m. today, sunset will take place at 8:30 p.m. – the latest for the year – from June 22 until June 26.
