• Council President Lays Out Watertown's Accomplishments & Future Challenges at Inauguration (watertownmanews.com) — Watertown’s council president is signaling big decisions ahead on Watertown Square, a possible new Middle School, and a potential Senior Center and East End fire station, all while pushing the state to ease residents’ tax burdens. His inaugural address also highlighted the new high school opening this spring, expanded 311 and emergency services, and ongoing work on climate, parks, and charter reforms.
   

• Watertown Musician Receives Iguana Music Grant from Passim (watertownmanews.com) — A Watertown musician, Zachariah Hickman, just received an Iguana Music Fund grant from Passim to support his next recording project. The Cambridge-based nonprofit awarded $40,000 to 23 New England artists for recording, equipment, education, and community-focused music initiatives, and will showcase recipients at Club Passim this April.
   

• Lambo '26 is NESCAC women's basketball player of the week for Jan. 5 (hamilton.edu) — Watertown native and Watertown High alum Taylor Lambo has been named NESCAC Women’s Basketball Player of the Week after averaging a double-double for Hamilton College. The forward posted strong scoring, rebounding, and efficiency numbers in three recent games, adding to an already impressive total of 31 career double-doubles.
