Stormy Weather Heading Watertown's Way
Thunderstorms through the afternoon hours with threat of hail, winds.

The National Weather Service has issued a special weather warning for Watertown and the rest of Middlesex country for thunderstorms that could pack torrential rainfall and strong winds result in flooding in low-lying areas.
The Service has been watching a line of thunderstorms racing from the New York state line towards Watertown and Boston expected to reach the area between 2:30 p.m. and 3 p.m.
Wind gusts could reach 40 mph as the storm moves through the region.

In the afternoon and evening, a second round of strong thunderstorms could return, impacting the evening commute. But there should not be a return of the strong winds.
