What you need to know about voting in the June 25 special state election.

Tuesday's special state election is the final step towards filling the Massachusetts U.S. Senate seat vacated when John Kerry became the U.S. secretary of state.

Along with one candidate from a minor party, the race is between Republican Gabriel Gomez and Democrat US Rep. Edward Markey.
