Firefighters Battle 3-Acre Brush Fire on Stonebridge
Wayland firefighters were able quickly knock down the blaze off Stonebridge Road.
UPDATE: The brush fire on Stonebridge Road burned through about three acres of land, but appears to be under control, according to firefighters.
Patch Associate Editor Abby Jordan said that Wayland Fire confirmed the blaze, which occurred on the south side of Stonebridge Road, just west of Anthony Road, was quickly knocked down.
Firefighters and a number of fire apparatuses remained on the scene as of 11:40 a.m. and were working to wet down the area, Jordan reported.

The cause of the fire is unknown.

According to NEFireBuff, there's an "Extensive area of brush going," and additional manpower has been requested.
