We are writing to voice our unqualified support for Gordon Cliff for the open seat on the Board of Selectman.
Â
This is a critical time for our town. Decisions made next Tuesday will affect the town for more than just the next year, or even the next three – they will affect the town for many years to come.  During the tenure of our next selectman, we will, among many other decisions, proceed with building a new DPW facility, decide to continue to fully support our schools (or not), appoint new FinCom members, and make decisions over projects such as a new library and senior center, and about open space and public safety.Â
Â
We want Wayland to stay strong: Â we have for a long time had great schools, and the families with school-age children and new entrants to Town rely on that. Â But it is also the beautiful open spaces, the library, the arts, the Council on Aging services that support everyone, not just "school family", but also the majority of households in town that don't have children at all. Â We have an active and vibrant community that Wayland has taken many years to build.
Supporting the things that have helped make our Town great will keep Wayland growing, and keep it attractive to home-buyers: it will protect our property values and keep the quality of life we all expect and have always enjoyed.
