Wayland Brings Back Household Hazardous Waste Day
For nearly a year, Wayland residents have had to drive to either Sutton or Westfield to dump hazardous materials.
WAYLAND, MA — After about its absence over the past year, Wayland will bring back its semiannual hazardous waste disposal event.
In March 2023, the town said it was unable to find a vendor to sponsor a collection event, and instead set up a way for residents to dispose of hazardous waste at dumps in either Sutton or Westfield. The town reimbursed residents up to $100 to use those to sites.
But the event will be back on March 23, and residents will be able to sign up for slots starting March 4. The dropoff will take place at the public works garage, 66 River Road.
