WAYLAND, MA—From the Edward M. Kennedy Institute in Boston: Students from Wayland Middle School are coming to the Edward M. Kennedy Institute for the U.S. Senate Thursday, Nov. 16, to learn the ins and outs of the entire Senate process. They’ll be taking part in the award-winning Senate Immersion Module program where students spend a morning in the replica U.S. Senate Chamber as Senators for the day, tasked with building and passing the Patriot Act.

From occasionally meeting with state legislators to discussing legislation currently being addressed by the U.S. Senate in Washington, D.C., students who visit get to enjoy a hands-on experience and learn all the steps of the senatorial process, said the announcement.
