5 Things You Need to Know: Happy Memorial Day!

A few facts, figures and tidbits to start your holiday in Needham and Wellesley

1. The National Weather Service Forecast for today promises a sunny day with a high of 71ºF. The evening will get cooler, but will still be clear, with a low of 48ºF. 

2. Needham Service Information: Needham's service will begin this morning at 6:50 a.m. with a service at St. Joseph's Parish. The services then move to the Police and Fire Stations at 8:15 a.m. For more information, see the full schedule. 

3. Wellsley Service Information: Wellesley services will be held on Thursday, May 30, at 7 p.m. at Woodlawn Cemetery, and 7:30 p.m. at the War Memorial Site. For more, see the full schedule.

4. Other odd holidays are held today. Yes, it is Memorial Day. But did you know it's also Sun Screen Day? This day educates and brings awareness to the importance of using sunscreens to protect yourself and your children from harmful UV rays from the sun. This day is held on May 27, just in advance of the summer and vacation season.
