Bloomfield area residents will have the chance to safely dispose of personal documents later this month at a free community shred day offered in Birmingham.
The event will be held from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. Thursday, July 25 in the north parking lot of Seaholm High School.
The event is being offered by mBank Birmingham, the Birmingham Bloomfield Chamber and E-Shred, a mobile shredding company in an effort to protect residents and businesses against identity theft, according to the chamber's web site.
Up to three boxes per person will be accepted and residents are welcome to watch their items be safely destroyed. The event is open to community members in the Birmingham Bloomfield Chamber coverage area.
