Pure Oakland Water, a new state non-profit dedicated to protecting Oakland County's water resources, will host its first public event this month in Bloomfield Hills.
The event, "An Evening at Cranbrook with Jim Nash," will be held from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Thursday, July 25 at the Cranbrook Institute of Science. It will feature a reception and tour of the Cranbrook Science Museum, hors d’ oeuvres, dessert, a cash bar, a travelling dinosaur exhibit and more.
The event is family-friendly with children under 10 admitted free. Tickets are priced at $60 per person and can be purchased in advance or at the door.

Pure Oakland Water aims to protect Oakland County and regional water resources through public education, community organizing and environmental advocacy. It was formed in March by Oakland County Water Resources Commissioner Jim Nash and others.
