Officers found a stolen car in the area of Brady Street and Cherry Hill area early Monday morning by using a flock license plate reading cameras, according to police.

After locating the suspect, a brief foot chase ensued before officers arrested the suspect in connection with the stolen car, according to police.

Additionally, police believe the suspected car thief was trying to open car doors in the Country Club Neighborhood on the city's west end, according to police.

Police said the technology helped officers capture the driver of the stolen vehicle and recover the car.

"We are fortunate to have advanced technology, including license plate cameras and drones, to assist us in our day-to-day operations to locate these suspects. This incident demonstrates the efficient and safe collaboration between our Night Shift Officers, Special Operations Team and Drone Officers in locating and apprehending the suspect," Dearborn Police Chief Issa Shahin said.
