Forecasters expect the snow to changeover from rain in some parts of the region overnight Saturday.
The northwest suburbs of metro Detroit will likely see at least 1 inch of snow, while parts farther north, such as the Flint area, could see up to 2 inches of snow, the weather service said.

The weather service said most of metro Detroit, especially the eastern side, will likely just see rain, though it could shift into a wintry mix by Sunday morning.
More snow will be possible across the Detroit region Sunday night when temperatures fall into the 20s, but forecasters only expect a dusting at most.

There will be more snow chances early next week with bone-chill winds that could push temperatures down into the teens, the weather service said.
