City Extends Applications For Property Tax Exemption Programs Through Dec. 20

With such demand from Detroiters, the City will accept applications through Dec. 20 to provide help to those seeking financial assistance.

DETROIT, MI (CBS) — The city of Detroit announced Tuesday that the Assessing Division will accept Poverty Tax Exemption applications through Dec. 20, beyond the Dec. 9 original deadline.

The City Assessing Division experienced long lines on Dec. 9 although the city opened additional counters to help meet demand, the Assessor wanted to ensure that these Detroiters could be served.
