Detroit Cop Charged After Stealing Fellow Officer's Sneakers: Police
Police said the officer stole multiple pairs of shoes from a shared locker room at a downtown precinct.
DETROIT — A Detroit cop is facing charges after stealing a fellow officer's sneakers, according to the Wayne County Prosecutor's Office.
James Clark Davis III was charged with three counts of larceny in a building and one count of receiving and concealing stolen property — $200 to $1,000.
He was placed in jail and released on a $25,000 personal bond. He cannot contact the Detroit Police Department Downtown Services and the victims. He also cannot leave the Michigan without permission from the court.

His next court date is scheduled for April 8.
Police said Davis stole multiple pairs of sneakers from their shared locker room at the Detroit Police Department Downtown Services location in the 20 block of Atwater Street between Sept. 4, 2024, and Jan. 9, 2025.
