Detroit Police Vehicle Involved In Serious Crash: Report

Several people were taken to the hospital following the crash, according to reports.

DETROIT, MI — A Detroit Police Department vehicle was involved in a serious crash Tuesday afternoon on the city's west side, according to reports.

WXYZ reported that the vehicle was a scout car. The crash occurred in the area of Dexter Avenue and Oakman Boulevard, and Detroit Police Chief James Craig told WXYZ several people were hospitalized.

It remains unclear how many people were involved in the crash and what the extent of the injuries are, according to WXYZ.
