Detroit Tigers Games No Longer On Comcast Xfinity: Here's What To Know
Here's how you can still watch the Detroit Tigers after Comcast Xfinity dropped Bally Sports Detroit from its network Wednesday.

DETROIT — Detroit Tigers games will no longer be available on Comcast Xfinity after the company dropped Bally Sports Detroit from its network Wednesday.
Diamond Sports Group, who owns 18 Bally Sports networks, including Detroit, failed to reach an agreement with Comcast, so the Bally Sports Detroit channel was taken off the air immediately.
"It’s disappointing that Comcast rejected a proposed extension that would have kept our channels on the air and that Comcast indicated that it intends to pull the signals, preventing fans from watching their favorite local teams," Diamond Sports Group said in a statement. "Comcast has refused to engage in substantive discussions despite Diamond offering terms similar to those reached with much larger distributors of ours."

Comcast said they offered multiple options, but the sports group declined each one. The company also said customers would receive a credit for losing the channel.
"We know that unexpected changes to your channel lineup can be frustrating. We worked very hard to get Diamond Sports Group to come to a fair agreement for our customers, but they have refused, and as a result the Bally Sports regional sports networks are no longer available on Xfinity," the cable company said in a statement.

Detroit sports fans will have to download the Bally Sports app to continue watching games on the network. Games will also still be televised on DirecTv and the MLB TV for Tigers fans. Tigers fans can also listen to Dan Dickerson on the radio, on 97.1 FM.
Bally sports owns the rights to local broadcasting for the Tigers, Red Wings and Pistons.
Bally Sports announced earlier this year it would shift its coverage to Amazon as part of the bankruptcy deal with Diamond Sports.
